Accessibility Statement — Mailo (English)

Mailo is a product of Vamos Investments Ltd. (Hebrew: וומוס אינווסטמנטס בע"מ), a company registered in Israel, company number 516891967, of Shlomzion HaMalka, Jerusalem.

We target the Israeli standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is based on WCAG 2.1 — the standard referenced by the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013. This is our own choice of the accessibility level we aim at; the extent to which those regulations apply to this service is subject to legal review.

Mailo is currently in closed beta and has not yet undergone a formal accessibility audit or external review. We do not claim full conformance at this stage. What is implemented in the interface today: Hebrew with full RTL and English in LTR, with a correct language declaration on every page; semantic markup — headings, labelled form fields and ARIA on complex controls — and keyboard navigation; layouts that work on mobile browsers and narrow screens; and self-hosted fonts, so text loads completely without depending on a third-party service.

Known limitations: screen-reader testing has not covered every screen; documents that users upload are often scans and photographs, and while Mailo reads them automatically, the original file is an image produced by a third party and is therefore not itself screen-reader accessible; and the service is built for professional business use, so some screens are data-dense and further simplification is still in progress.
